Hi!

I’m Sophie. I’m a new mum to my son Jacob, currently navigating motherhood and building a career. Here’s my story so far…

I studied Animation at university, but after graduating found it was a difficult industry to break into and didn’t provide the most stability. Not wanting to abandon my creativity, but also ensure I had a stable job, I decided to pivot my skills into CAD (computer-aided design) and have been working as a CAD designer for the last 10 years.

During that time, I bought a house, got a dog called Cooper, and married my husband, Scott.

In 2019, we decided we were ready to start a family and welcomed our son Jacob into the world in May 2020. The story of his birth wasn’t plain sailing but we’re glad he’s home, happy and healthy.

As all new mums will know, raising a child but also maintaining a career is difficult. I’m at a stage in my life where I am considering my next career move. I’ve always been passionate about photography and I’m exploring whether there’s a career in that whilst raising our son.

I’m very much at the start of my journey but want to invite you along.
